If the pain you are experiencing is under your heel, the most common diagnosis
is Plantar Fasciitis. The plantar fascia is a webbed structure situated under your foot, when it is put under more stress than usual (for example sudden strenuous exercise) it can become inflamed and sore.

Usually the pain is worse after resting, sitting or sleeping and eases off when walking (although it does not disappear).

Common Causes of Plantar Fasciitis:
• Sudden increase in physical activity levels.
• Excess body weight
• Wrong shoe wear

How to alleviate the pain:

- Rest and elevate the foot whenever
you can.

- Ice pack the sore spot.

- If you do have increased the level of
activity quite suddenly, then try to
bring it down again. Once the pain is
gone, start again with your activity
gradually
